Danielle Frabutt

A native of Youngstown, Ohio, Danielle Frabutt currently resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she works passionately in performance, administrative, promotional, and educational areas of music.

Reaching the lives of many children and adults, Danielle has had a very successful private teaching studio for the last 12 years, both in Ohio and New Mexico. She is a lead teacher with the New Mexico Philharmonic’s Young Musician Initiative, where she was part of the original pilot program. Danielle has performed with the New Mexico Philharmonic, Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival—Music in Our Schools series, Las Cruces Symphony Orchestra, the Santa Fe Symphony, and the American Wind Symphony Orchestra, where she was a featured piccolo soloist in 2007. She has performed a variety of solo and lecture recitals and was part of the Bergamo Festival of Arts in Bergamo, Italy, as a soloist and masterclass instructor in 2010. Performing with various chamber ensembles, she is a founding member for the Albuquerque woodwind trio Altura Winds and has worked closely with Irish Folk Singer/Songwriter Liz Madden. In her spare time, she also sings with Quintessence: Choral Artists of the Southwest.

As an administrator, Danielle works for the New Mexico Philharmonic as the Artistic Coordinator. She was the Quintessence: Choral Artists of the Southwest’s Summer Festival Chorus Manager in 2015 and was Assistant to the Director of the American Wind Symphony Orchestra in 2008. She has been running her own private flute studio business since 2003. With her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music Performance, Danielle wholeheartedly believes in the accessibility of music to others in the form of performance and education as a means to social connection and development.

Danielle joined the administrative team as Director of Operations for the Olga Kern International Piano Competition to support bringing world-class musicians to Albuquerque as well as promoting Albuquerque as a progressively growing city in music and the arts on an international level.
