SUMMARY:2022 In-Person Second Round
DESCRIPTION:2022 Third Olga Kern International Piano Competition\n\n\n\nIn-Person Second Round\n\n\n\nOctober 24 & October 25\, 202210:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m.\nImmanuel Presbyterian Church114 Carlisle Blvd SEAlbuquerque\, NM 87106 \n\n\n\n\n\nThe competitors perform a 60-minute recital before an audience in Albuquerque. Recitals are recorded on video and live-streamed on the Competition website. \nPerformance order is based on the drawing that takes place on October 23\, 2022. The competitor who draws “Number 1” will perform their solo recital first\, followed by the competitor who draws “Number 2\,” and so on. This order will be maintained throughout the Semifinal Round. Pianists in this round can choose their performance piano from the two official pianos provided by Steinway & Sons\, the Competition sponsor. Each pianist is allotted 20 minutes to perform on the two pianos and make their choice. This process will take place on Monday\, October 24\, 2022\, time to be determined. The choice of piano will be carried over to the Semifinal Round. All piano choices are final. No changes are allowed. \nAt the end of the In-Person Second Round on Tuesday\, October 25\, 2022\, the Jury will deliberate and choose 6 competitors to advance to the Semifinal Round. The names of the competitors advanced to the Semifinal Round will be announced the same evening at the venue as well as via Facebook and email. \n2022 Third Olga Kern International Piano Competition events will be live-streamed. DESCRIPTION:2022 Third Olga Kern International Piano Competition\n\n\n\nVirtual First Round\n\n\n\nJuly 20–24\, 2022 12 pm–5 pm (EST)\n\n\n\n\n\nFor the Virtual First Round\, 20–24 competitors will perform a 45-minute prerecorded recital that will be streamed from July 20–24\, 2022. Recitals are recorded on video and live-streamed on the Competition website. Music in the Virtual First Round may be repeated from the screening round\, however\, it must be included as a new recording as part of the new recorded performance for the Virtual First Round. \n\n\n\nAt the end of the Virtual First Round\, the Jury will deliberate and choose 8–10 competitors who will advance to the In-Person Second Round.
