DESCRIPTION:2022 Third Olga Kern International Piano Competition\n\n\n\nFinal Round\n\n\n\nOctober 29\, 2022\, 6 p.m.\nPopejoy HallUniversity of New Mexico203 Cornell DrAlbuquerque\, NM 87131 \nFrancesco Lecce-Chong conductorNew Mexico Philharmonic \nFinalistsAnthony RatinovYanfeng BaiJonathan Mamora \n\n\n\n\n\nThe Final Round will take place on Saturday\, October 29\, 2022\, at Popejoy Hall on the campus of the University of New Mexico\, located at 203 Cornell Dr\, Albuquerque\, NM 87131. \nThe finalists will perform a concerto with the New Mexico Philharmonic on Saturday\, October 29\, 2022\, at 6 p.m. at Popejoy Hall. They will participate in two rehearsals prior to the concert as follows: Friday\, October 28\, 2022\, time to be determined\, and Saturday\, October 29\, 2022\, 12 p.m.–2:30 p.m. Each competitor will have a pre-rehearsal meeting of approximately 20-30 minutes with the conductor. The numbers of the competitors will be carried over from the Second and Semifinal Rounds. However\, the order of the competitors may be changed depending on the repertoire. The order of the competitors will be decided on Thursday\, October 27\, 2022\, after the announcement of the advancing competitors. The finalists will be notified that evening. \nThe piano choice from the Semifinal Round can be carried over for each competitor\, but a decision change to use the other piano will be allowed before the first rehearsal with the New Mexico Philharmonic. That choice is final. \nAt the end of the concert\, the Jury will deliberate and announce the winner and subsequent positions of the remaining competitors. The audience will fill out a ballot or vote on the website for the Audience Award. \n2022 Third Olga Kern International Piano Competition events will be live-streamed.
