Roland Z. Gerencer, MD

Dr. Gerencer is a classically trained pianist and graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Canada.

Roland Z. Gerencer, MD, is an Otolaryngologist Head & Neck Surgeon in private practice at Breathe America, Inc. in Albuquerque who has served the New Mexico community since 1999. Originally from British Columbia, Canada, he moved to Albuquerque after completing a subspecialty Fellowship in Rhinology at Rush University in Chicago. While in practice, Dr. Gerencer also pursued specialized sinus surgical training in Graz, Austria, and has served in a number of administrative capacities at both Presbyterian and Lovelace Hospital systems. Currently, Dr. Gerencer’s professional interests include conducting a number of clinical research trials related to endoscopic sinus surgery. Classical music is a passion of his, as Dr. Gerencer is also a classically trained pianist and graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Canada. When not engaged in professional obligations, Dr. Gerencer enjoys hiking and fly fishing with his son, photography, as well as alpine mountaineering.

Dr. Gerencer is Vice President of the Olga Kern International Piano Competition.
