Hin-Yat Tsang

A Young Steinway Artist, Hin-Yat Tsang is the winner of the International Piano-Campus (Paris), Asian Chopin (Tokyo), and Manchester Concerto Competitions.

Tsang is also a top prizewinner and laureate of the Maria Canals (Barcelona), James Mottram (Manchester), Manhattan (New York), Gina Bachauer Young Artists (Salt Lake City), and Hong Kong International Piano Competitions. He was also a semifinalist at the Scottish (Glasgow) and Beethoven Telekom (Bonn) Competitions.

Tsang’s performance career has led him to some of Europe’s finest venues including Wigmore Hall and Cadogan Hall of London, Steinway Hall London, Elgar Room of the Royal Albert Hall (London), Laeiszhalle (Hamburg), Bechstein Centrum (Frankfurt), Musikinstrumenten-Museum (Berlin), Warsaw Philharmonic, Palau de la Música Catalana (Barcelona), and Casa da Música (Porto) among many others. These have included collaborations with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Manchester Camerata, and the London Chamber Orchestra. His performances have also been broadcast by BBC Radio 3 and RTHK Radio 4 as well as the Catalunya Música of Catalonia.

Tsang is also one of the young artists represented by the Musicus Society Hong Kong as well as both the Worshipful Company of Musicians and the Keyboard Charitable Trust in London. A native of Hong Kong, Hin-Yat Tsang is a graduate of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and holds both a Master’s and Artist Diploma from the Royal College of Music in London, where he also served as the Constant and Kit Lambert Junior Fellow. His former mentors include Dmitri Alexeev and Eleanor Wong. Tsang currently resides in Germany and continues his studies at the Universität der Künste Berlin with Klaus Hellwig.
